In addition, 30 valet-parked car spaces will be provided on site. Located one block south of King Street Metro Station and within walking distance to the King Street entertainment district, the project is also near the Patent Trademark Office and Carlyle project which has approximately over 6 million square feet of offices, retail and residential. Carr City Centers is developing a boutique hotel with 150 guestrooms and suites in the heart of Charlottesville, Virginia. Located at the nexus of University Grounds and the Medical Center, the project will include a 4,000 square foot destination restaurant, 3,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center and a business center, all accommodated by on-site parking for guests and restaurant patrons alike. Located at 1106 West Main Street, the hotel is adjacent to The Corner and within walking distance to the Charlottesville Amtrak station and the Downtown Mall.
Carr City Centers is developing a 278-room luxury hotel with 18,000 square feet of meeting space, 5,000 square foot spa, and a 5,000 square foot rooftop restaurant/lounge, all with views of the water. The hotel will be constructed during Phase 1 of The Wharf, a world-class, mixed-use waterfront development located on the historic Washington Channel. The hotel will be branded as an InterContinental, part of a Carr portfolio that includes the Willard Intercontinental Hotel.
The hotel will be LEED Silver, contributing to the LEED-ND Gold status of the Master Development which will feature approximately three million square feet of new residential, office, hotel, retail, cultural, and public uses including waterfront parks, promenades, piers, and docks.
